Line Art is perhaps the most challenging category of artsy that I have attempted. It is a two stage process:

• I select a photo from my 22,000-image portfolio that for one reason or another particularly appeals to me.
• Then I search through the image to discover its “Essence. That is usually some small thing that is almost hidden from the picture. I then take that selection and create a line art image of what I found. The line art created must be simplicity itself.

Simplicity has been a lifelong thing for me. I have numerous signs and banners proclaiming that I need to always remember not to allow life circumstances to get complicated.

Perhaps the most challenging thing is finding the Essence of what I am looking at. Most often it is hidden in the background of the photo, or maybe it is just the feeling/emotion that is aroused in me.
