As my creativity grows my mind constantly wanders into previously unimagined areas of thought. I don’t know how many years I have left on this earth, but I plan to use what I have left to continue my growth in creative endeavors.
During my ongoing search for creativity I ran across an article in the New York Times that moved me to the next level. Here is a snippet of that article:
We all have fantasies or, if you prefer, ideas. I will give them a different word: “Seeds.” These seeds are the germ-line of books, short stories, songs, and the faces in a painting. Sometimes, when the idea is for a gadget that might, say, keep that guy in the car next to you from texting and driving, it’s the seed of an app or business. If it’s a doodle it’s the seed of an art project… Not all creativity looks the same, and it doesn’t take on the same name.

I have personally created lots of seeds” in my life journey to be more creative. Being able to concentrate on something as long as you like is one of my greatest joys in retirement.
When those seeds come now they are quickly written down and planted in my brain to see if they sprout. Sometimes my desktop looks like an advertisement for Post-It pads. Other times my mind is so filled with seeds it’s challenging to remember to do the everyday things. 😎
One of the fundamental things I have learned about creativity is that it knows no boundaries.
It is not limited to writing, painting, drawing, or even making digital doodles. Creativity is more a way of thinking and viewing the world than it is a specific thing or activity.
Finally, one reason for making this new site is to remind me to constantly be on the lookout for more ways for my creativity to shine. But perhaps the primary reason is that by showing you some of my creative works I might convince you that you too can nourish your life through your yet-to-be-released creativity.
It’s never too late to start.
