Even though the steel mills are gone, Pittsburgh will remain a gritty city that thinks it’s a small town. During my last visit there in 2017 we spent an hour just roaming through some of the neighborhoods. It is a fascinating place.

My grandparents lived in Pitsburgh, and my wife was born just south of the city. Her brother still lives there.
The urban downtown right next to ethnic and distinctive neighborhoods has always fascinated me as a “full of life” place to live or visit.

Where else but Pittsburgh can you get a giant helping of French fries one the top of your hamburger and then a piece of bread on top. I tried it once, but was just not a fan 🥴
