In 2022, I traveled almost 6,000 miles trying to more fully discover my artsy side. I visited more than 20 museums in the Southwestern and Northeastern parts of the U.S. One of the results of those trips was my 2024 “Mosaic of Life” project. Another is my currently active 2025 “Clothesline Art”. They both reside in MyArtsySide menu shown above each post.

I have been struggling to include abstract art in my repertoire. For the last six months, I have been studying several books related to the many forms of abstract art, but it seems that the more I read the murkier things become. Maybe I just need to throw away the books and trust my gut feelings!

Finally, getting to the point of this post, Doodles & Such is a new category that is now located in MyArtsySide menu along “Mosaic of Life” and “Clothesline Art”. Part of the “Such” includes abstracts. Don’t ask me which are doodles and which are abstracts, as to me the two are often indistinguishable.

Doodling is where my path to artsy originally started in 2023. But this 2025 version in Doodles & Such is more sophisticated than those early attempts. You might say some of it is almost abstract in nature. 😎
